Hi guys this is justin, just some updates for the clubcrawl.

The upcoming friday which is the 12march, will be the 1st junior meeting for clubcrawl. The people planning for clubcrawl will brief you guys on how the flow of the show will go and we will decide on certain important things for the show. So do come down because it will be an very important meeting. And also, we will vote for the best design/logo, for our batch foreign bodies t-shirt.

Hey people, Hmmm.. I was suggesting to Justin to use the blog a lot more often. Then again, I don't wanna waste his effort of making a blog and it isnt updated so often. So... I thought of using this blog for us to improve on our dance.. since we all come together as dancers of e same batch, we ought to see one another grow as a dancer.. individually. I pondered on how can we help each other to improve and at the same time need not always just be meeting at block e to self pract. so I thought of using the blog to post videos..

To me, what I learn is.. we are, what we consume.. So, to improve, we need not only need to practice our basics getting exposures etc.. we need dance vocabs and that is what made watching videos so important. Watching videos for dance can not only increase our vocab, it can also inspire us. Giving that sudden urge of wanting to be like that person thus charging towards our goal of being a better dance.

So.... I sugguested to Justin that we either send him an email, or if you see him online, type the links to Justin and he'll post them up. I really need you guys to co-operate to keep this living! I hope this will be a culture in which will help everyone in foreign bodies to learn. I hope this culture will be brought down to the juniors and so on, and it'll never die... I believe that this will help and this will be something that pushes us to improve further. Just 5 months or so and we'll reach the status of being Foreign Bodies' seniors, let us all improve and raise the standard of Fbodz kay:) Have AT LEAST 3 links before sending to Justin, so it'll be easier for him. Ya can also type a lil description bout it after you type the link down.

He said that he hoped that we’ll improve together. :D It’ll be at Natasha Studio.
Every Sunday, 12noon – 1pm.
The entire course’s duration will be 8 weeks( 2 months) starting this Sunday.
The course is $100.

Hi guys, next wed practice will start from 12nn as usual at blk E!

We will be doing all the basics we learn for hiphop. Isolation, down rhythm and all.
Doing all this first will really help to improve faster and helps when u wanna learn other genres in the future.

Like dorie/dorry(dunno how spell) had said, we should all practice all our basics first before we try things that are more difficult.
She is afraid that it may cause back fire if we continue to try to do difficult moves that we haven learnt yet.
It's like building a house without a foundation.
The reason some of u still cant get the basics right is mainly because of lack of practice.
BUT still, keep on exploring in dance and keep the passion there.

Alex and dori shared some advices to me zainul and nick and we think that we should spread the knowledge to u guys.
By Alex: " Do ur showcase with Confidence NOT being Arrogant."
Meaning dont be over confident and end up being arrogant. And show all u got, do it full out.
Dont keep wad u learnt, show everyone wad u have learnt.
Because too much of humble is hypocritical.

Dori: I know that u guys are very hardworking and i can see that every wed.
This is the first time i see such a large number of juniors practicing together.
But i wanna say that, it's too large and not everyone can hear each other and practice together.
Dance with the right technique, then ur style will come.
It's the shoe that is going to fit u, not u who are going to fit the shoe.
Practice ur basics first then go try other advance technique.
Example, it's like you wanna do c walk with down rhythm when u cant even do down rhythm properly.
Then soon you will realise that it's hard to change to the correct way of down rhythm because u have been practicing the wrong thing.
I dun mean to stop u guys from exploring but, get the basics right first.
For now hiphop is u juniors's main focus, i know some of u want to do reggae and i'm really happy that u guys wan to explore so much.
But the problem is, reggae is not easy and u cant even do the basics of hiphop properly.
It will create back fire instead.

Ok back to me.
So i shall start the ball rolling by guiding/sharing with u guys on down rhythm on the coming wed.
It's almost impossible to conduct sharing session during group practice on wed due to the amount of people present.
But i'm sure that it will be made possible if everyone were to get together and practice as one.
Put in the small effort to listen and u will feel the difference rather than just practicing alone.
Enjoy the practice while not feeling being forced.

So shall WE practice all our basics on the coming wed?
We will wait till 2pm when more people is around to start.
Have ur lunch first too.
Drink lots of water to prevent getting heaty and all.
We Are Dope Only When We Groove As One.

TODAY's group practice was not bad, everyone get to know some 'unknown/unfamiliar' faces haha. Which is a GOOD THING!

The reason for the timing for group practice is because recents group practice was like, some doing bboy, some doing other choreo or routine which not everybody know and all..I'm not pin pointing anyone but hope everyone understand the purpose of group practice. It's to create more bond between us juniors and to groove better. =)

Yo guys!!!
Some 20+ juniors came down for self practice today!! Shiok!

Did some routines and then started our 1st junior choreograhpy!!!
The song is 'Treat Me Right' by BackstreetBoys.
Did the intro intro choreo today with almost all the juniors present.
The choreo was kinda fast but the beat was quite nice i think.
The main style of the choreo is 'Melting' It's like a type of technique which involve lots of controls and then relax and flowing motion. Maybe i said it wrongly but it is melting style. =)
Hope you guys can get it right so that next time we can teach the choreo to those who dont know.

The main purpose of learning the choreo is because, i found out that during self practice, we are separated into our own small small cliques. Which defeat the purpose of having juniors self practice. Maybe i shud call it juniors group practice? haha.
Cos group practice like this are meant to be bonding sessions as well, if we know each other well, having no conflicts, we can groove together dope-ly.

There are this moment when i see everyone practicing the choreo together while i was standing one side looking, everyone was trying their best to get it, enjoying every moment, i felt so glad that they came. =)

I know that the choreo is hip hop style and not all peeps like hiphop. But at least that's the genre we all are learning now. So just relax and enjoy learning the choreo.

The rest of us had our makan session at AMK S11, mingled around and crapped. It's like a family. But not exactly without the other 80+ juniors =(.
So i hope that more juniors can make their way down to group practices =).
Special thanks to nueh(Grand Senior) for coming down to guide us on the choreo.

Ok joking joking, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, feel free to come down for self practice with the other juniors! You will sure feel the difference once your basic is clean.

If you have no talent, all you need is hardwork and the passion. =)

If you do wad you've always done, you'll get wad you've always gotten.

One reason so few of us achieve wad we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.

The path to success is to take massive, determination action.

Hi guys!! FB HandShake*

Ok erm, just a short post here.

We know and want everyone to be bonded and groove together. But the problems are whether if you wanna put in the effort to make a difference.
Outings and Self practices will be organised for you guys and it's just that if you are willing to make yourself free anot, unless you are having lesson and so on.
I'm sure that the past few outings with some of the juniors were very fun and i'm proud to say that the outings were a success.
Every single one of us enjoyed. We play, we crap, we eat, we walk, we have all the fun together.
Recents outing like, movie session, steamboat sessions, it was made possible because those who went have made an effort.

And when there are outings, please spread the message to everyone and dun assume that everyone knows about it already. In this way then we can get the message across to everyone.
The main idea of doing outings and all is to let every single one of us to open up more, get closer to every junior dancer. Then our bonding will be closer and better, eventually truly becoming a family, fbodz family. When we groove, we groove as one. Dont leave anyone behind and strictly no racism.

And since that the 115 of us are chosen to be in the fb family, why not take this chance to do it well, bond together, and groove as one?
Dont be shy because everyone will be seeing each other for practices and maybe performance in the near future. Dont keep things to yourself because when it explode, it's hard to clean up the mess.
SHARE your thoughts with one and other, thrash out your disagreement in a calm manner. Solve it as quick as possible, dont avoid the problems because avoiding means worsening it.

Simple outings like makan sessions and all are small little things that build up the great bond.
Try your best and believe that this batch, the 9th generation will be bonded as one.
The bond will take time to form and we shall take 1 step a time.
Dont let it fall on our batch, the Pioneer batch of fb dancers wont want that to happen, so do we.

I believe that we can do it.
Nothing is impossible when we put our hearts and do it.
Remember the purpose of dancing in foreign bodies.
Fbodz Family, we groove as one. =)

Alright Next,

For those who will be coming down on regular self practices on wednesday, you guys may want to chip in THREE bucks / $3 / SGD $3.00 / $1.50 + $1.50 FOR a speaker so that everyone can share it during the practice.

$3 for a speaker, i will consider it's a fair price for those wanna chip in. Treat it as a investment. Rather than using ur ear piece and practice one side.(so emo)

$3 is lesser than a KOUFU CHICKEN RICE SET, so i dont think that will be problem right? =)
Those who wanna chip in can give me a message or chat on msn with me. My contacts are on the left side of the blog.
And those who wanna hunt a good set of speakers with me, feel free to contact me. We dont need a super powerful speakers that can blust musics to yck mrt or anderson jc. Just a cool average speakers set will do. =)

Ok GUYS! This will be the official Blog for foreign bodies juniors 2009 aka 9th generation.
Strictly for juniors and do not spread it to anyone else.

-Regardless of whether you are a dope dancer or a lousy dancer, you guys are still part of the fbodz family.
-As you guys know there are more chinese than other races like malay and indian, so PLEASE DO NOT leave them behind! If we are practicing together, chh 5 please. Speak english.
-Share your knowledge and experience in dance with our fellow juniors.
-We groove as one.
-No one will leave any one behind because we move on together.

AND AND
As you all know that there are politics and disagreement within each cca and almost everything in everywhere.
So the main purpose of this blog is meant to be a start off point, where you guys can communicate and know infomation about outing and all.

As some of you have know, there are serious politics problems within some seniors(idk who but there sure have) over the years.
Backstabbing, hypocrites and all, it's not the purpose of dancing in fb.
Always remember the purpose of dancing, your passion, the bonding.
In that way, then we can start dancing as one.

Dont dance in fb because of the 'label' itself.
Because fb is a place to groom dancers.
If you are already a dope dancer, guide your fellow friends, share your knowledge.

Hence, I(justin) sincerly hope that, the juniors in 09 batch will make a change in foreign bodies.

Keep the bonding there, share our thoughts together, thrash out our disagreements, encourage each other, and then we can truly groove as one.

Contestants are STRICTLY OPEN to Foreign Bodies Members.
ALL Audiences MUST be Members of Foreign Bodies, with the exception of representatives from SDZ and TPDE.
There will be 2 Battles going on.
One Battle will be for ONLY Batch 08/09, the other will be for Batches ABOVE Batch 08/09.
